no and there won't be. Just a heads up, there have been reported "black screens" that pop up in the game, and I have encountered one myself. Just make sure to save often
Yup, it may be a parcial english patching but, by the time it is finished sshg will come out in english anyways, same thing hapened with platinum. Downloading !

some say it has no effect and I've yet to try it as I'm still at work but maybe some of you can check it out :(
The patch seems to work. No more black screen after battles, and Im using an R4DS.
I can verify that the above patch seems to be working well. I did get one freeze after about 3 hours of gameplay, so it isn't perfect, but better than it was before

Pokemon Soul Silver already patched with freeze and English translation patches. I've uploaded this myself which i tested on R4DS and DSTT and the results were: "cool, I got a pokemon!!!!"

When your extract it, you will see a readme inside with the instructions....it might be different for you depending on what your using to play the game but inside have rar have everything u need to know. Just make sure you keep a backup of an untouched rom because new english patches will come out and you can't use them if the rom is patched already.

and download the patch and inside the rar will have different patches, open the readme and read to know which patch to use and how to do it.

the english patch update didnt work. i did everything according to the readme file, the right patch and clean rom and hit apply patch and nothing happened. i waited around for a 0kb file to appear, but nothing.

Many people are having problems and so am i, but one thing i have noticed the people who are having these problems are using no$gba is it because of that?
nope. im using R4 and still have the freeze problem, and no patch worked so far.
i don't use no$gba the emulator is called NintendoDS not no$GBA and what's r4ds?
I am using TTDS to play the game and I run a few tests with R4 and I yet to see any problems.
Kyle, R4 is a flash card and a flash card is something shaped like a NDS game and that thing shaped like a NDS game has a slot and that slot is for microSD and what is a microSD chip? google it.

I downloaded, then opened with quickzip, then extracted to my desktop, but when i open the extracted folder, there is nothing in the folder.

sup guys so i had the black screen problem after talking with oak at the intro. then i put in the code 020DD9DC E0200000 and problem solved. (for those who dont know how to use action replay on no$gba2.6, open the rom with the emulator, then click Options -> emulation setup -> find a slot that says NDS-Cartridge backup media (its somewhere near the bottom left) -> then choose FLASH 512KBytes. then click OK. tehn back to the emulator, click Utilities -> cheats -> add new. add this code 020DD9DC E0200000 then make sure you check the circle next to Action Replay DS (NOT Codebreaker DS) then click ok. there should ten be an entry on your cheat list. click the square on the entry to check mark it, then click OK at the bottom right of the cheat entry. after that your back to the emulator. click File -> reset cartridge and you should be able to play. i thot this might help. but even with this code after i go on route 30 and talk to oak and this old gentleman and got the pokedex, when i leave the house this window pops out and says the rom image has crashed or something and the emulator just shuts down automatically. does anyone know wtf is going on?
I absolutely cannot wait for this game, I'm so happy it's on here! I think I'll download it and play just to help the waiting time, and then I'll buy the US release because Pokemon is FLIPPIN' AWESOME!

This seems to be working so far. Just beat the rival.
I only just beat Falkner and saved right after. Then when I was heading out the Gym, I got a pop up message saying that the ROM image had crashed or something, so it shut itself down. Okay, no problem, I just saved so it should be fine. ...but now my Soul Silver ROM won't even recognize that there's a save file. I tested it before by resetting and closing altogether and it opened fine, but after that pop up error message now the game won't open the save file. Is there anything I can do to get that save file back? The file itself is still there but the game just doesn't seem to know it's there. Plz help. :(

I'm getting the same problem as Fishy on the Silver Soul game. Mine usually freezes after every 4th save or sometimes after a battle well something along those lines anyways. But the crashes get worse when I reach the 4th gym city well it got worse after I got the watering can from the 3rd gym but still. Now it crashes about 3 minutes after I load or straight away after the load. Its pretty annoying. But I'm gonna keep my Silver Soul save file just incase.

I'm gonna try out the Heat Gold one. Some people have been saying it works a lot better than the Silver Soul game.

Ok, I am using No$gba I used the code to get past the black screen, but whenever I get into a battle, I beat the pokemon but it just freezes, no black screen or anything, just freezes.

i think the freeze problem is no$gba itself. i use r4 and thanks of the patch no freezes and no black screens at all. no weird cheat needed also.

the games wont work at all after the 4th gym it stops workin and there aint nufin to sort it. it was probaly made that way by the makers to stop people downloadin it, so ur just gonna ave 2 wait till the games get released
You need the original NDS Bios and Firmware to play the game if you are using no cash gba(which is obtain only by dumping from you NDS, but I heard that you can also find it with google too). So far I've got 7 badges now, I rarely got freeze or crash.=)

From my knowledge and countless hours on the internet, there is no real easy way to find the fix for this. I know it exiss because i have seen people i know playing with no freezing, but i do notknow at the moment. I just run from all wild pokemon.

the code you should put in is 020DD9E4 E1A00000 make sure you have Raw and action replay DS checked then hit ok, then in the cheat lists you will see the replayretion icon with a blank box next to it, check the box then hit ok and the code will be applied.
As for the game crashing it usualy says something like the rom image has crashed, and then when u restart you are brought back to a save that was a while ago. the only way i found around this is after you save exit the game then start it again, thats the only way i found that i was able to keep my saves up to date. it's tedious but its better than playing and saving a few times then seeing that crash window pop up and being set back to the last time you turned the game on.

try to do a right click and then save state instead of the game saving, sometimes it works...

1-Download the sav.file 2-delete the old one but remember the name 3-give the old name to the new sav.file 4-open game and start enjoing it :)
By the way you have to put the new saav.file in the bateri past where the old one is :P
